Editing Work at Gartner

When Gartner reached out to me in 2022 to join its editorial staff, I wasn't sure what to expect. In my time here, however, I've deepened my editing skills and expanded the amount of subject areas in which I am knowledgeable. Some of the content areas I have edited include:

My specialty is Gartner's Magic Quadrants -- the signature research type that allows business leaders to view the capabilities of vendors at a glance in an innovative scatterplot design. The authors of Magic Quadrants are experts in their field, and authoring an MQ is a massive monthslong undertaking. It's easy to get lost in the weeds. I work with authors to shape and refine their copy, making sure it's ready for prime time before being released to our clients.
